The Swank Summer Series: Corporate Event Planning for EAs is a casual, informative workshop designed specifically for Executive Assistants who find themselves tasked with planning corporate events on top of their day-to-day responsibilities. Kristin Healy, Owner and Creative Director, Swank Events Boston, along with Sarah Hawkins, founder of AccessPoint Collective, will host a series of events focused on various event-related topics. The format will be a short presentation highlighting essential tips, tricks, and resources to help you feel confident and prepared when organizing company events, followed by an informal networking hour where you can ask questions, connect with other EAs, and learn more about how Swank Events Boston can support you throughout the entire planning process. Whether you’re managing your first event or looking to polish your skills, this is a welcoming space to learn, connect, and feel empowered. A venue site visit is essential for gathering details you won’t find online. Asking the right questions reveals important info on logistics, costs, and restrictions, helping you spot potential issues, build strong vendor relationships, and choose the best fit for your event.

    Understand why conducting an in-person venue site visit is essential for effective event planning beyond what digital resources provide.

  2. Ask Strategic, Informed Questions
    Learn how to develop and ask targeted questions to uncover critical details about venue logistics, accessibility, amenities, restrictions, and potential hidden costs.

  3. Evaluate Venue Fit for Event Needs
    Assess how well a venue supports the event’s goals, guest experience, and budget by applying insights gathered during the visit.

  4. Strengthen Vendor Communication and Decision-Making
    Improve communication with venue staff, identify potential challenges early, and gain confidence in making informed venue selections.
