The Sway
Event description
The Sway is an embodied experience that weaves together the practice of movement meditation with the healing power of communal nervous system co-regulation.
In The Sway, your nervous system gets to remember that you’re not alone. Through gentle movement, conscious breathing, and the simple act of sharing space, we create conditions for both personal regulation and communal attunement.
Whether you're seeking to reconnect with your body, find relief from stress and overwhelm, or experience the profound healing that happens when we move together, The Sway offers a sanctuary where your individual journey enriches the whole - and the whole enriches you.
Come as you are. Move as you need. Leave more connected to yourself and others.

Childcare Details
This event is a sober all ages event. Childcare will be provided for children ages 5-11. Younger children (infant to toddler) will be welcome in the The Cradle when accompanied by their parents. Children will not be allowed in the ballroom during the event.
Children below age 5 are free and will stay in The Cradle supervised. See below for details on this part.
We hope to provide expanded childcare for children of all ages soon. Keep an eye out for updates.
We are excited to have Courtney’s empathetic and skilled perspective guiding our children’s experience. Her background spans literacy education, early childhood, and special education, but it's her passion and joy that she brings to the work that really sets her apart.

What to Wear & Bring
This is about comfort and pleasure - wear what makes your body sing and brings what makes your heart happy. Come dressed to feel delicious in your own skin. Here are some suggestions:

Layers you can shed or add as your temperature shifts with the movement
Bare feet or grippy socks (we'll have a shoe storage area)
For the Cradle
Your fluffiest onesie, coziest pajamas, or whatever makes you feel most held
Soft blankets for wrapping yourself and your new friends
Your favorite stuffy or comfort object for the deepest snuggles
An eye mask or ear plugs if you want to go extra deep into relaxation or need extra care for your senses.
Personal Care
Water bottle to stay hydrated
Any personal items that help you feel grounded - journal
A change of clothes if you want to shift your energy between spaces
Optional Magic
A small gift like oracle cards or communication icebreakers or a note for the community altar
Anything that makes you feel more like yourself
FAQs
I have a toddler between 1-5, what does it mean that they will stay in The Cradle supervised?
We hope to expand our childcare services in in the future, but for this first round we need to keep our childcare to kiddos that are potty trained. We just don't have the capacity to care for the kids and take care of diapers. However, we want to keep The Sway accessible for everyone so we've opened The Cradle, our tea and cuddle space right across from the dance so parents could chill and hang with their friends and kids and maybe even get a chance to have their friends support them by caregiving while they take a break in The Sway. That's the best we can do right now. We hope you come experiment with us!
