Event description

ABOUT THIS EVENT

The Sydney Anthropology Centenary is a unique opportunity to reflect upon the department’s intellectual life. It invites consideration of the evolving questions that have shaped—and continue to shape—anthropological thinking, including issues of race, power, and social change. The event also highlights the discipline’s long-standing commitments to critical inquiry, social justice, and community engagement—both locally and globally.

Everyone is welcome! Whether you are our alumni, student, staff member, colleague, or an interested member of the community, we invite you to join us in marking this historic occasion.

Online attendance: if you would like to join the day online, please select the 'Online' ticket type to register. Zoom link will be sent to the email used for registration 48 hours prior to the event.
