THE TENT is a huge sculptural installation, a transient piece of architecture and metaphor for the shifting, surprisingly malleable social and political structures we live within.
Created from op shopped bed sheets and covering the full span of the FLING Studio, the cast manipulate the Tent over the duration of the work via a system of 30 ropes.
THE TENT puts our individual perception under the microscope through the re-enactment of events, in a playful, farcical look at what is real and what is subjective in the re-telling.
A work that captures the excitement and optimism of a bunch of young people trying to get something done.
