The Tipping Point Balingup Workshop
Event description
Margot Edwards is a theatre maker, writer and creative director of The Wilding Stories- a woman-led project of oral Storytelling tradition using drama, music, movement and puppetry to explore a folk-inspired story development that came out of a International Women's Day event at Fairharvest in Margaret River.
Margot's latest project The Tipping Point is a story and poetry collaboration discussing our responses to climate anxiety. Margot is working with creatives in Margaret River and Balingup to cross-pollinate the project through the South West, culminating in a performance of poetry and movement.Â
She is running this creative development workshop to bring local Balingup artists -poets, dancers, writers, musicians- together and work through some responses to the story in the Story to Script development stage.Â
The story-script stage of the project includes both Balingup and Margaret River poets and is being funded through an Aus Cultural Fund Boost fundraising program and any donations to the workshop will be doubled by ACF.
