San Francisco band The Tofanas have been killing it with their punk rock opera about a gang of 17th-century Italian poisoners. The show blends ukulele punk, performance art, and poetry. And the songs -- based on the actual transcripts of the actual interrogation of these infamous, unlucky women -- are dark, humorous, and weirdly danceable. If you like Patti Smith, the Pogues, ska, DIY theatrics, Dr. Seuss, Don Quixote, and/or wigs ... Come rollick with the Tofanas, plus the equally enigmatic Enablers Duo (Simonelli/Thomson) & Anni Rossi.
