The Trevor Hart Quartet return to CYKAS this time to play on a Saturday afternoon. The
quartet, which really has 5 members perform mainly original jazz in a freeform
improvisationary style.
They have stood the test of time playing together for almost 30 years.
Their special guests will be the new band Dog Years. Dog Years is a recently formed band of young Brisbane musicians. Dog Years originals are written by Pearl Hart who is also the singer in the Funky Butt Club.
In an ‘apple not falling far from the tree ‘ moment half of Dog Years are daughters of the
members of the Trevor Hart Quartet . It is in many ways the intergenerational passing of the musical baton.
