Trevor Hart is a multifaceted Australian artist based in Maleny, Queensland, known for his contributions to both jazz music and artisan cheesemaking. As a cornet and trumpet player, composer, and bandleader, he leads the Trevor Hart Quartet, which has been performing original freeform jazz for over 25 years. Hart's musical journey began in brass bands, fostering a deep appreciation for early jazz forms such as ragtime and spirituals. This passion is evident in his side project, the Funky Butt Club (also known as The Funkies), where he explores the roots of jazz with a vibrant brass sound, reinterpreting both traditional and modern classics.

Beyond his musical pursuits, Hart is a dedicated artisan cheesemaker. He crafts handmade cheeses like Mozzarella di Bufala, Haloumi, and Bocconcini using local Maleny buffalo milk. His commitment to traditional cheesemaking techniques earned him a Churchill Fellowship in 2014 to study in Europe. His cheeses have garnered accolades, including two Delicious Produce Awards. Hart's dual passions often intersect; he can be found busking on Saturday mornings in Maleny, performing jazz while his daughters, Daphne and Pearl, look on.
