Nicole arrived in Australia eight years ago with a 13kg backpack and a dream—to meet a version of herself that wasn’t shaped by others' expectations or decisions made on her behalf. She longed to step beyond the life she had been given and discover the life she truly wanted.
It didn’t take long for Nicole to realize that becoming this new self wasn’t a single moment of transformation but an ongoing process. She had to work hard to unlearn deeply ingrained beliefs and reprogram her mind.
Back in Brazil, she had qualified as a lawyer, but it didn’t take her long to see that it wasn’t what lit her up inside. Her first shift as a waitress opened an unexpected door into the hospitality industry. She later graduated in Business and Strategic Leadership, eventually becoming a restaurant manager—a path that led to her residency in Australia.
But even after securing her visa, Nicole knew that wasn’t her final destination. The deeper she explored herself—through therapy, journaling, energetic healing, and, most profoundly, Yoga—the more she realized that her journey was far from over.
A pivotal moment came when she took a Vipassana course—a ten-day silent meditation retreat where participants meditate for ten hours a day without any interaction, not even eye contact. On the fourth day, during a lunch break, she caught a glimpse of the Nicole she had come to find. A deep, undeniable knowing settled within her: yoga wasn’t just a practice; it was her path. It wasn’t about becoming someone new—it was about remembering who she had always been.
From that moment, everything shifted. The right people, opportunities, and communities aligned with her evolving vision.
Nicole had always been drawn to studying what couldn’t be seen—the subtle, unseen forces that shape human experience. She had started meditating at twelve, but only now did she fully understand: the journey itself was the destination.
