Event description

The Uncommon Sense of Design

Presented by Simon Breese

Welcome to a quick dip in the deep sea of design.
We’ll cover some of the basics to help rescue your presentations and PDFs.
As part of the short course, you’ll learn how to:

  1. Grid your pictures for better presentations.
  2. Use type hierarchy for clarity of information.
  3. Align text for legibility.
  4. Optimise your PDFs
  5. Choose your fonts with confidence (unless it’s Comic Sans)

You don’t need to wear a lot of black, drink coffee and talk about design to do the course (that’s my job).
The course is open to anyone and everyone who wants to their work to look and work better.
We’ll use PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat as the basic principles will apply to any software.

If you want your assignments to read more clearly, have a better chance at a pitch, or present your work with more confidence. The join me in unlocking your Uncommon Sense of Design.
