The Healing Foundation and the First Nations Portfolio at the Australian National University are partnering to deliver our National Sorry Day Policy Forum where we will draw crucial attention to the unfinished business of the Bringing Them Home report and its 54 recommendations developed to support healing and reconciliation for Stolen Generations survivors, their families, and Australia more broadly.

The forum will feature a panel discussion with Professor Mick Dodson, Michael Lavarch AO and Dr Jennifer Caruso, MC’d by Shannan Dodson. You will also hear from Professor Peter Yu, Professor Steve Larkin and Aunty Matilda House. The audience will also have an opportunity to participate in the discussion with our panel, followed by networking over refreshments.

This Sorry Day, we challenge policy makers and sector leaders to work together to refocus the unfinished business of the Bringing them Home report. While many Stolen Generations survivors are sadly passing away or aging, most of the recommendations remain outstanding or only partially implemented, highlighting the urgency to act.
