Join colleagues, clinicians, researchers, community organisations, advocates and people with lived and living experience from across the harm reduction sector for the inaugural Regional Harm Reduction Symposium – The UNFINISHED BUSINESS of Harm Reduction in Geelong this December.

This one-day symposium will bring together leading experts and practitioners to explore the challenges, opportunities and emerging priorities shaping harm reduction across Victoria. Through keynote presentations, expert panels, practical case studies and lived experience perspectives, delegates will examine Victorian overdose trends and coronial findings, learn about current harm reduction programs and innovative initiatives, and explore the latest evidence to strengthen regional responses.

The program will also feature a dedicated facilitated conversation focused on how harm reduction is designed, led and delivered by and for First Nations communities. This important discussion will highlight culturally safe approaches, collaborative partnerships and systems-level planning that support better outcomes for Aboriginal communities.

Whether you work in health, alcohol and other drugs, mental health, community services, emergency response, local government or policy, this symposium offers an opportunity to connect with peers, share knowledge and be part of the conversation shaping the future of harm reduction in regional Victoria.
