Celebrating over two decades as one of Australia’s most distinctive jazz ensembles, ARIA award winning band, The Vampires bring their deeply collaborative sound to the intimate setting of 21 Shepherd St. Known for their hypnotic grooves, lyrical improvisation and subtle blend of jazz with expansive soundscapes, the band has built a reputation for music that is both richly atmospheric and rhythmically compelling.

Featuring Jeremy Rose (saxophone, electronics), Nick Garbett (trumpet), Noel Mason (bass) and Alex Masso (drums), The Vampires’ music unfolds with patience and precision - melding folk-like melodies, immersive textures and a strong sense of collective interplay. Their performances draw audiences into a sonic landscape that feels at once spacious, meditative and deeply alive.

Critics have hailed their music as “phenomenal” (Downbeat) “a masterpiece” (The Australian) and “seductive creativity” (The Guardian UK). The band has toured relentlessly around Australia, and regularly tour Europe and UK.

This special performance offers a rare opportunity to experience the band up close, as they explore music from across their celebrated catalogue and new material shaped by twenty years of musical conversation
