The Variety Collective 2023

The Variety Collective has become an annual charity event, started last year in February 2021 in the midst of a Government restriction on gatherings, we still had a sold out show and a brilliant night with a spectacular audience.

This event is supported by local talent from all over our entertainment spectrum, bringing Drag-Acts, Burlesque, and Live singing and more to the stage for you to enjoy while knowing you're supporting local community charities by attending the event.

Your Host, Dianna Thirst, a local drag-queen personality, believes in communities supporting communities to benefit the community, and this is what inspired the creation of The Variety Collectives first event, raising money for the Queer youth support organization, QTOPIA, with huge support from the many talented entertainers who gave their time to the cause, including the venue, A Rolling Stone, prizes sponsored by Lush (cosmetics), and a spontaneous donation given during the show of a stay away at the Clear-light Sky reserve in the McKenzie Country thanks to Skylark Cabin NZ - please do check out their page, it is a beautiful location.
