Event description

Are you planning a VBAC and don't know where or how to begin?

Are you feeling overwhelmed with what you "should" and "shouldn't" be doing?

Do you just want to feel confident, prepared and strong heading into labour?

I've got really excellent news for you - this is your answer!

The VBAC Education Class is a birth education offering created by me, Katelyn the Doula.

I've made this class just for you: the one who NEEDS a more positive birth this time and wants to know just how to make that happen.

This class is a combination of important information, activities and questions, and labour and birth skills that can help you on your way to a better birth.

If this all sounds amazing so far, let's talk a little more about what this class entails:

We'll be covering these topics:

- What you need to know about VBAC - Fears & Anxieties - Having a Better Birth - Support - Informed Decision Making - Basic Birth Physiology - Labour & Birth Skills -

And you'll also get:

- 2 of only 10 available spots in class: one for you and one for your partner - A workbook to use in class and beyond - The VBAC Further Resources E-Book - An invitation to join the Women's VBAC Support Circle (coming in the weeks following class) - Morning and afternoon tea, plus delicious hot beverages -

This is a small numbers class, with only space to take 5 couples. Book your spot now to avoid missing out! Current clients also receive a 10% discount off the class, make sure to grab the discount code from me before you book 🥳

FAQs

Do I need to book one or two tickets?

Just the one, one ticket covers you and your partner

Should I be pregnant already to attend this class?

It's not a pre-requisite at all! The only question would be whether you would remember the labour and birth skills, but if you practice them regularly, even through preconception and early pregnancy, you'd have them totally down pat come time to labour :-)

Is there a limit to how pregnant I should be to attend this class?

No, but I'd suggest that between 20-30 weeks would be the ideal as there is time for you to integrate the information thoroughly and practice the exercises and skills. You would be welcome to attend at any gestation, but I wouldn't want you to feel like you don't have enough time to bring any of what you learn into practice.

What do we do about lunch?

There are cafes and takeaway places in the neighbouring shopfronts, with even more within a short drive. You can also bring your own lunch, if you prefer, there is a fridge we can use to store anything.

What's your deal, anyway?

I had my own birth after caesarean in 2021 right in the thick of lockdowns. After I had my first baby via caesarean, I fell headfirst into the research around VBAC and learned a WHOLE LOT. Then after I had my second baby, who I'd planned a homebirth after caesarean (HBAC) with and ended up transferring to hospital and having a repeat emergency caesarean, I realised something more about what a better birth after caesarean can look like. I've since trained as a doula, mentored women planning VBACs and supported VBAC mamas in birth. I bring a great variety of education and experience with me into this course that I've been building a long while!
