I'm watching the world become crazier and crazier.

Basically that fully reinforces the beauty of gathering together in small local communities, staying in touch with one another in a way that can't be monetised, tracked or made into an algorithm.

The Village is in its 13th year and this year is gonna be a big one - not just for our community of fine folk, but for people all over the world.

Are you seeing what I'm seeing! Big change is with us and our local, community connections are going to be even more important this year.

So please come (or come back) to The Village 5-5 where we all contribute to the space and thus the space gives back 100 fold.

Community meals, community dance, laughter, swimming, workshops, games, hot spa, the famous swimming hole that washes away every last bit of tension or worry you might be carrying.

Bring whatever it is you can bring. From food for self and others, to camping for self and others, to joy and laughter, sadness and exhaustion, workshops (even if you've never done one before)

Bring instruments to play with a huge jam session or to play quietly in a corner, or to serenade one that you love or want to.

Bring art and craft. Bring friends. Did I say that loud enough?

Yes your van can make it down the hill. Yes, it's 2 wheel drive territory, Yes there is potable water. Yes people are lovely at The Village.

No there isn't a good reason to stay at home.

This edition of The Village is in the count as 5-5, so that's the UNDERSTANDING of UNDERSTANDING.

Expect some AHA moments as we launch into 2027, making a SEMI-CIRCLE FESTIVAL happen at Easter time and our full bodied CIRCLE- The Festival of The Villages happen in early October.
