Event description

The Voice Calls from the Heart

A Special Afternoon with Glenn Loughrey

Glenn Loughrey, artist, writer and Anglican priest is a proud Wiradjuri man. In 2021 he became the first Aboriginal Canon in the history of St Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne, as well as its Artist in Residence. He is also Associate Professor at the ANU and Chair of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Anglican Council.

Glenn is passionate in advocating justice for First Nations peoples and will take us through the details of the Voice to Parliament. There will be an opportunity to yarn with Glenn and ask any questions about the coming referendum.

To finish off the afternoon, well-known blues and jazz singer and musician Fiona Boyes, will entertain with a selection of songs.

The event is organised by Social Justice Advocates of the Sapphire Coast and St John's Anglican Church, Bega.
