The Warriors Adventure Day (for men, boys & mums)

WELCOME TO THE WARRIOR'S ADVENTURE DAY!

Once upon a time there were no fathers just uncles in tribes and these men were responsible for everyone in the tribe woman and children and each other.

Men would speak their truth and stand up for what they believed in.

This creates a feeling of belonging and this is an important part of who we are.

The Warriors Adventure Day models these beliefs and values.

When enough people with the same beliefs and values get together, they create what is called community.

This event is designed to happen once a month.

This month's theme will be Breath, how do we can utilise energy and flow to be in control of our state ans reconnecting with nature.

We look at this in different ways through games, sharing stories, connecting and making it fun!

Men from the community will be sharing their passions and talents.

There will be fun games and challenges creating connection throughout the day.

We will then finish with a hangi built by the men and you will experience what it was like for the tribes of Aotearoa (New Zealand) to cook their food in the ground we know this as the hangi.

So, Mums and Dads bring your boys and let them run wild on the land and know they are looked after by a community of men.

Dads are welcome and encouraged to join in on the adventure games and there is an important part on the day for the Mum's too.

The mum's will be invited to gather together and learn about their very important role in boy's initiation. We will share the teachings and offer you new ways of connecting and relating with your boys.

Come and be a part of these old ways from start to finish and feast together as a community at the end of the day.
