Bruce Elder On the album Further Down the Road

I think it is great fun with a truly local spin. I don’t think I have ever heard a recording that more overtly screams out “this is live, live, live. Sing along everyone … and maybe even get up and dance."

CHARLEY CASTLE AND THE BOYS IN THE WELL

Charley Castle leads her Boys to a fresh strain of Australian bluegrass. String band-style, with tight-stack harmonies, driving instrumentals, and a uniquely feminine voice, the group are a truly infectious addition to the modern landscape.

Winners of Australia's biggest busking competition (Tamworth Country Music Festival 2025), they have spent the past two years kicking up dust, touring Australia top to bottom.

A decorated songwriter, Charley writes heartfelt songs populated by the places she's known. With mandolin, double bass, guitar, and a down under flavour, she's making real waves.
