The movie is to raise much needed funds for Shelterbox.

Martin Sheen stars as Tom Avery, a grieving father who embarks on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage after his son’s death. The Way is a 2010 drama directed, written, and produced by Emilio Estevez, who also stars alongside his father Martin Sheen. The film follows Tom Avery, an American ophthalmologist from California, who travels to France to recover the body of his estranged adult son, Daniel, who died in a storm while walking the Camino de Santiago, a historic Christian pilgrimage route in Spain. Instead of returning home, Tom decides to complete the pilgrimage himself, carrying his son’s ashes as a tribute.

By providing emergency shelter and tools for families robbed of their homes by disaster, we’re transforming despair into hope.

From Cameroon to Syria, all the way to the Philippines and the Caribbean, ShelterBox has provided shelter to over 2.5 million people so far.
