Local Melbourne drag artists Amanda Blow, Freida Commitment, Moxie Delite and Opal Essance invite you to the very first WERKSHOP! A beginner's drag workshop weekend intensive! From November 23rd onwards, join these divas in special tutorials, teachings and workshops on how to get your start in different areas of drag, from makeup to hosting to show production.
Amanda Blow:
Amanda Blow is a bogan beauty who knows how to bring the camp and comedy! With her STAMPED mug and larger-than-life… personality, Amanda is truly a loveable idiot. Amanda will be teaching STAMPED! Drag Queen Makeup, a 2 hour transformative workshop that is designed for anyone who wishes to explore the art of drag makeup, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills.Â

Freida Commitment:
Freida Commitment is Melbourne’s Premier Queen of Commitment Issues! She is one of the most sought after Drag Queen Emcees and Comedians in Naarm. Freida will be teaching Looking 👀 2 Host and Drag Up Your Business! Learn how to werk a crowd or how to run your business like a professional!

- Drag Up Your Business!: Monday November 25th from 6-8pm (Online)
Moxie Delite:
They are the Cult Classic of Melbourne Drag- MOXIE DELITE! Moxie is a draglesque diva and deviant, disrupting the local scene with humour and horror. Don't be fooled by this beauty! She will be teaching Drag King Makeup and Producing Drag Shows for any and all those who want to learn to sculpt your face like a king, or how to get your own drag show off the ground.
- Drag King Makeup: Sunday November 24th from 11:30am-1:30pm at Wheat, Wine and Whisky
- Producing Drag Shows: Saturday November 23rd from 1-3pm (Online)
Opal Essance:
Known for her range of high production acts, and unmatched quick wit on the mic, Opal Essance is THAT witch that does it all, and does it flawlessly. Opal will be teaching Wig Styling, a step by step wig styling tutorial of a signature, go-to style, complete with tricks and tips of the trade.
- Wig Styling: Sunday November 24th from 4-6pm at Wheat, Wine and Whisky
Venue and contact information for each workshop will be included in ticket types. Workshops will be held in a mixture of in-person and online venues.
In-person workshops are *Mask Mandatory, meaning that if you are capable, we expect you to mask up when not doing makeup. The performers will be monitoring any COVID symptoms and taking RAT tests where necessary, and it is an expectation for our attendees to do the same.
This event is held on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the elders past and present, and extend that respect to any Indigenous people who will be joining us for The Werkshop. Discounted tickets available for mob.
