The Wilderness Trail Womens Duathlon 2020 is on Sunday 18th Oct,10am start. This event will go ahead wet or fine so come prepared. Please get your bike checked over by your local bike shop before race day.
Hopefully you managed to kick start a fitness program during "lockdown" so keep it up.

Registration

8.45am opens at Kumara Domain, SH73. You will need to check in with officials, get your number then go and drop off your bike(if you haven't already done so)

Bikes

The bike set up is on the Wilderness Trail, just off Greenstone road. There will be Marshalls there to tell you where to put your bike.

Race Breifing

9.45am - Kumara Domain. It is important that you attend and listen to the safety information. The Wilderness Trail will be open to the public so you will encounter bikes and pedestrines coming the other way, so be prepared.

Start

10am - Participants will walk/run 1 lap of the rugby field, proceed out of the Domain grounds turning Left onto the footpath of SH73, turn Left onto Greenstone Road keeping to the footpath and turning Left onto the Wilderness Trail to collect and ride your bikes 21km into Greymouth. (This walk/run stage is 900m)

Transition - Bike to walk/run

Karoro Domain, Domain Terrace, Greymouth. Please ride off the trail into the coned area and dismount. There will be officials to help and point you on your way. We will have an official to stay with the bikes till the event is over however please organise to have your bike collected ASAP

Finish and Spot Prize Draw

Blaketown Rugby Clubrooms, Packers Quay, Greymouth is the finish. Due to the uncertainty of the Covid levels there will be no prize giving. All Spot Prizes will be pre drawn and written on the board in the Clubrooms. Officials will hand out the prizes to winners. Tea, coffee and cold drinks will be available in the clubrooms.
