    Event description

THE WILDLIFE REFUGEES EVENT IS TODAY, SUNDAY SEPT 1 FROM 3 TO 5PM IN CINEMA 3.
IF TICKETS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE ON THIS PAGE, PLEASE COME TO THE THEATER AND SEE US AT THE DOOR.
WE WILL BE WELCOMING PEOPLE UNTIL 3:20.

We will be showcasing the moving stories of Canberra's wildlife first responders gathered over the past year by director Kim Ramsay. Following the film tasting, there will be a discussion panel that includes individuals from the film, Albert Oberdorf from Canberra planning Action Group, Jo Clay from ACT Greens MLA, Nikos Kalogeropoulos of Molonglo Development, and Michi Moses of Lighthouse Architecture.

We hope to encourage conversations about the challenges of planning a future city that harmoniously integrates both people and wildlife.

    Event Highlights:

    • Short Film: Celebrate ACT Wildlife's Tenth Anniversary with a short piece we created in honor of their incredible work.

    • Sneak Peek: Experience a 15-minute preview of "The Wildlife Refugees," directed by Kim Ramsay, with an original score by Adam Crystal.

    • Panel Discussion: Engage with a panel of speakers from the film,  as they share updates and solutions, followed by a Q&A session.

Tickets: Suggested donation donation: $15 or above. You can choose your organization of choice from the dropdown menu on the donation page.

We look forward to seeing you there and joining us in our mission to protect wildlife and promote conservation efforts in the ACT as the city grows!
