Join the Women's Well Eastern Suburbs and Dr Marjorie O'Neill for our breakfast and panel of four local and inspiring trailblazer women from four generations who have overcome adversity, major health and other life challenges. 

  • Aunty Barbara Simms Keeley: A proud Bidjigal and Wadi Wadi woman, Aunty Barbara is a highly respected Elder in our community. As a survivor of the Stolen Generations, she has channeled her experiences into advocacy and serves as the Deputy Chair of the NSW/ACT Stolen Generations Council.In 2017, her tireless campaigning led to the creation of the Stolen Generations Memorial at Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park in Matraville, a tribute to resilience and remembrance.Following the loss of a family member to breast cancer, Aunty Barbara has dedicated herself to raising awareness about cancer within the community. Her advocacy was instrumental in bringing the BreastScreen NSW mobile unit to La Perouse for the first time in 2009.Aunty Barbara is a passionate activist and a cherished member of our community.
