Looking for an immersive art making experience to unlock endless inspiration and creative possibilities? Join acclaimed Melbourne artist, Anna Taylor and step into the wonder of nature. Be inspired by the beauty of nature and learn how to use nature's elements to create your own art pieces.

Hosted by Made to Create, this unique outdoor workshop series will help you connect with nature and discover its beauty through your art. We will gather in person at the beautiful Merri Creek in Clifton Hill, walk the local labyrinth to begin our journey together. All levels welcome.

The sessions are designed for you to:

Build your creative confidence
Explore a range of artistic mediums using elements from nature
Develop visual art making and expressive skills
Have fun in a safe and supportive group
Make connections through creating art together

Over 5 weeks, you will be learning how to:

1. Use nature's palette - Using petals and leaves we will create an image that combines these materials

2. Create sculptures from pieces of wood lying around in nature - Drawing from the work of artist David Nash, we will use natural elements to create sculptures in nature

3. Utilise ideas of John Wolseley, we will:
- Fully engage with nature
- Spend time contemplating our surroundings in an immersive way
- Observe, draw or paint, led by your intuition

You will need:

Afternoon tea
Visual journal
Paints
Water colours
Pencils both coloured or grey leads
Good quality water colour paper
Jug of water, rag and brushes

ABOUT ANNA TAYLOR

Anna is a multidisciplinary visual artist and loves to teach others. Primarily Anna wants to inspire others to follow their urge to create, no matter how small or loud. She is very aware of the cost to those who don’t allow themselves to do this. Anna has held 14 solo exhibitions and been involved in many group exhibitions. Her work is held in public and private collections around the world. Anna is still creating art after more than 30 years!
