AN OVERVIEW ABOUT THE SOUTH OF BRAZIL AND THE FLOODS

The intense rains occurring in Rio Grande do Sul (BR) have caused devastating consequences throughout the region. According to the latest bulletin from the Civil Defense, 441 municipalities have been affected, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Since the end of April and the beginning of May, a substantial volume of rain has fallen in the Guaíba basin, causing severe flooding. BBC News Brazil closely followed the impact of these floods, which have resulted in the deaths of at least 157 people and have left 581,000 people displaced. Of this total, 76,000 are living in makeshift shelters, facing uncertainties about their future.

The floods have affected more than 6,828 families in Rio Grande do Sul, leaving ten communities completely isolated. This situation underscores the vulnerability of these communities and the urgent need for effective rescue and assistance efforts.

The consequences of the rains in Rio Grande do Sul this year are a wake-up call for all of us about the changing climate of our planet. Solidarity and humanitarian aid are essential at this critical moment to support the thousands of people and animals affected.

YOUR YOGA FACILITATOR | Nic Morelli

Nic is a passionate Yogini, Mentor, Women’s Circle & Kirtan Facilitator, originally from Brazil, based in Sydney. She started her yogic and spiritual journey in 2013 and have completed over 1000 hours trainings in Tantric Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Meditation, Bhakti Yoga, and Holistic Therapies. Guided by nature, intuition and dharma (purpose), she offers gatherings, workshops and retreats as a way to expand love, spirituality and consciousness to the community. Her offerings are an integration of a multi-lineage journey of studies, connection and experiences. She has a really intuitive and unique way of guiding people back into their hearts, by holding a sacred and safe space where they can express all that blooms from within.

YOUR MEDITATION FACILITATOR | Marcia Bellö

Marcia began traveling the world in 2011 and has been to over 30 countries, immersing herself in diverse cultures and locations, and learning from various teachers and experts in different areas of self-awareness. She founder Emana Institute in 2015 - a solid business with a methodology for Education in the New Era, providing transformation to thousands of people worldwide, both in-person (in Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, USA, UK, Spain, and Portugal) and online through Courses, Retreats & Expeditions, Training and events. Marcia also holds a diploma as a High-Performance Coach, and is trained in over 15 integrative therapies and techniques, including Positive Neuroplasticity Training (a Methodology designed by Dr. Rick Hanson Ph.D.).
