Description

We’re back.

After a packed first event, The Writers’ Round returns for round two! Same concept, new voices, even better energy.

This isn’t your typical gig. No big production, no distractions. Just a circle of artists, sharing songs the way they were written. Raw, stripped, and real.

Each artist takes their turn, telling the stories behind their music, jumping in on each other’s songs, and creating moments you won’t get from a standard set. It’s intimate, a little unpredictable, and exactly how music is meant to be heard.

If you know, you know.

If you don’t, this is your invite!

Limited tickets — once it’s full, it’s full.

This event is ALL AGES. Food and beverages are available to purchase at the venue.

Lineup

  • Anika Joshi

    Anika Joshi

An emotionally versatile songwriter, Anika Joshi interweaves intricate writing with jazzy, R&B, and pop beats to create a distinctive sonic vision. Her debut EP, Radiance (2025), showcases a sound described as “old-school soul meets jazz vibes, ending with the sultry silkiness of Sade” (Nicole Mendes), establishing her as “an artist to watch with a clear vision.” The EP has surpassed 100,000 global streams, received national radio support on Triple J Unearthed, and recent support on UK Radio, earning coverage in The Other Side Reviews, Fem Music Magazine, Women in Music Australia, Grassroots Earworm, The Comfort Zone Australia, PM Studio, and The Pulse 94.7 FM. Anika’s music has also been placed on multiple large playlists worldwide. Having recently played one of many sold-out shows at the beautiful Cockatoo Island alongside Joel Legget, she has captivating audiences with her emotive performances. Her love for songwriting and the immense world it creates can be seen from large lush productions right down to an intimate performance with her and her acoustic guitar.

  • LEIANNA

    LEIANNA

LEIANNA is a Sydney based singer-songwriter known for her storytelling-driven music and dynamic live performances, ranging from intimate acoustic sets to full band arrangements with brass and strings. Blending folk, funk, R&B, and rock, her songs explore themes of love, personal growth, and lived experience, promoting self-confidence, kindness, and hope. Originally from Newcastle, she began playing violin at age three and developed her musical identity through church performance and songwriting, later earning selection into the ASPIRE musical program. After working in musical theatre education, she studied at the Australian Institute of Music and has since established herself as a dedicated performer, playing over 60 shows in the past year. Her 2025 debut EP PRELUDE and 2026 follow-up The Reference Tracks highlight her ability to merge acoustic intimacy with rich, full-band soundscapes, marking her as a rising voice in Australia’s live music scene.

  • Natalie Theodore

    Natalie Theodore

Natalie Theodore is a contemporary crossover artist and composer based in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. She discovered her love and talent for music at a young age, with her passion for the arts leading her to performing in musical theatre at age 9 and channelling her artistic abilities into songwriting at 14. Over the last four years, she has studied as a composer at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, further honing her original craft with exploration into different genres and music production. Her unique sound spans synth, rock and folk resonances, but two things remain common in the crossover; her diaristic and story rich approach to pop songwriting, as well as her treatment of infectious melodies. Her song “Denim”, a heartbreak pop ballad, won the Songdoor International Songwriting Competition’s Pop category, and was described by judges as “sublime contemporary poetry”. Now, Natalie is working on releasing her debut EP, Old Reliable, ready to make her mark in Sydney’s indie pop music scene.
