The Young Naturalist: Creating Habitat for Biodiversity

Young Naturalists will discover the extraordinary diversity of our Australian flora & fauna in our unique Nature Laboratory and help create new habitat in Sydney Olympic Park for insects and wildlife.

Join our Discovery Team to get creative with Nature-

* Create new habitat in the forest grids by planting wattles, grevilleas, and other native plants to increase biodiversity by providing nectar & shelter for butterflies, beetles, bees, birds, possums, and other wildlife.
* Create your own miniature habitat for insect and Nature studies at home.
* Investigate our spectacular collection of butterflies, beetles, and other insects through hands-on activities, using microscopes and magnifying lamps, in our unique Nature Laboratory.
* Be amazed by the beauty and intricate detail of native flowers, flower pollen & butterfly wings under the microscope.
* Discover the unique relationships between insects and plants.
* Create scientific records of your favourite insects & plants in your Young Naturalist Sketch Book.
* Get up close & personal with our LIVE Spiny Leaf Insects (Extatosoma tiaratum).
