Young Naturalists will bring Nature into focus with our magnifying lenses, microscopes, and Canon cameras in our unique Nature Laboratory.

On the journey

* Discover the amazing diversity of Australian native plants and fungi.
*
 
Observe the intricate detail of pollen grains and fungal spores under the microscopes.
*
 
Learn Nature Photography, as we focus our Canon cameras on the plants and fungi that create native habitat for wildlife in Sydney Olympic Park.
*
 Become a Citizen Scientist by contributing your photographs to iNaturalist Nature Discovery Projects.

What to expect
Children will experience a ‘Sense of Wonder’ about our Natural World!

*Get up close and personal with our Spiny Leaf Insects (aka Macleay’s Spectre Phasmid) and our Goliath Stick Insects (Eurycnema goliath)
 **A limited number of Spiny Leaf Insects will be available for adoption


Children will take home
*A sketchbook with Young Naturalist Sticker on the cover
*Souvenir bookmark
*Certificate of Workshop Participation

*Children MUST wear enclosed shoes in our workshops.

We are unable to provide refunds for any cancellations. However, we may offer to re-schedule your workshop attendance. We have a 72-hour cancellation policy, meaning any cancellation within the 72-hour timeframe may not be re-scheduled. For re-scheduling, please visit our website youngnaturalist.com.au and send us a message on the 'Connect with us' page or an email through Humanitix. If The Young Naturalist cancels any of its workshops, the refund will follow Humanitix timeframe and policy.
