The Young will Never Forget- Open Mic for Palestine

Palestine is at the heart of our being it is the underlying foundation, it is at the core of everything we do. We mourn the countless lives murdered by the Israeli Occupying Forces, we grieve with those who will be forever scarred by the deaths of their families and friends, we feel the loss of every life, we carry that pain with us every single day. Although this tragedy seems insurmountable, there is no force on this earth that could break Palestinian resilience. Despite the efforts of the occupation the existence of Palestinians will live on.

We will never stop sharing our Palestinian identity, our stories or pain, struggle and persistence with our children and the children of the diaspora.

They once said the old will die and the young will forget. The young have never forgotten. All young people are the children of Palestine. We all identify and stand in solidarity with Palestine no matter where we come from. In our thousands in our millions we are all Palestinians.

Haweyate invites the community to attend the ‘Young have will Never Forget: Open Mic for Palestine.' An event that gives an opportunity for youth to express their grief and share it amongst the community. As we give the mic to the children and youth of the community to strengthen their hearts and inspire resilience and determination through creativity.

We call upon children ( 6-11 yrs) and youth ( 12-18 yrs) in the community to submit their experiession of interest to haweyate@gmail.com to perform at the event. An expression of interest form will be sent accordingly and you will be contacted.

50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Palestinian medical relief society and 50% of proceeds will go to Haweyates future initiatives.

Light Palestinian refreshments will be provided.
