The Northern Beaches Committee for Palestine is hosting a discussion of these threats to free speech.

Speakers:

Wasim El-Haj, from Teachers and School Staff for Palestine, a Palestinian Australian teacher forced out of his job (at Sydney Girls High School) for wearing the keffiyeh, his cultural clothing.

Dr Nick Riemer, a Linguistics academic at the University of Sydney and a longtime participant in the Palestine solidarity movement, and curently facing a Zionist "lawfare" attack in the Federal Court of Australia because of his opposition to the genocide.

Professor Linda Briskman holds the Margaret Whitlam Chair of Social Work at Western Sydney University and is a panellist on the People’s Inquiry into Campus Free Speech on Palestine.

Linda will speak about the findings of the People’s Inquiry and the findings of research interviews with Jewish people who oppose Israel’s actions in Gaza and the West Bank.

$10 entry, all proceeds will go to Nick Riemer’s legal defence.
