Event description

This very special professional development event brings our workforce together for two days of:

  • Resisting Burnout with Justice-Doing and Solidarity: The Zone of Fabulousness
  • Trauma & Resistance: Innovative responses to suffering violence & oppression

Join Vikki Reynolds (Canada) who will encourage you to foster solidarity and justice-doing as central to Collective Care and resistance against “vicarious trauma” and “burnout”. This is an invitation to learn how you can thrive in, and sustain ethical relationships shouldering up your team, clients and yourself.

Vikki invites you to reflect and lean into:

  • Alternate approaches to understanding vicarious trauma as different from the ethical pains of what is experienced supporting people through your service
  • Believed-in hope
  • Frameworks for resisting burn-out that hold clients at the centre
  • Introduction to the “Zone of Fabulousness” - elevating connection, collective ethics and the person at the centre of your work
  • Leaning into and co-creating team cultures of “Collective Accountability”
  • Justice-Doing through dignity and respect
  • Questions about power and responsibility, dynamics and injustice and what this means for your own fabulous zone moving forward
