Join us for fun morning of food, fellowship and to hear our amazing speaker Kate Russell ONZM, FFIA Executive Director of Hagar NZ.

Kate brings to us a wealth of experience from work in the fundraising and charity sector. Kath will talk about Modern Slavery and the impact of this and what we can do about it. The title of Kate's talk is Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking -  What can we do?

She will discuss the current situation for women and children in South East Asia and the Pacific with rising numbers of human trafficking and slavery.  Hagar NZ fights to rid the world of this misery across several countries as apart of Hagar International. Kate will also uncover the emerging problems within our own country and look at the things we can all do to get to a world where slavery and human trafficking are no longer tolerated.

Kate Russell ONZM, FFIA has a thirty year history in the NGO sector and has led several high profile NZ Charities, spending time on the Boards of several others. A career Fundraiser and Community Development expert, Kate has spent time on several government advisory boards and as a business mentor through Business Mentors NZ.

Recognised in the 2016 New Year’s Honours with an ONZM for services to governance and health, Kate is also a Fellow of the Fundraising Institute of NZ and Australia.
