This semester, our Early Primary students are hard at work building their skills of acting, devising, collaboration and storytelling while creating their own play in response to their classes prompt of ‘The Zoo of Extraordinary Creatures’. This production is a culmination of their hard work and creativity.

Play on Stage is a critically acclaimed independent production company based in Brisbane that works professionally with young people on works that platform their voices and perspectives.

We stage and produce works that explore human connection, reveal hidden truths, and look at the world around us through different perspectives. On top of beloved existing works, we also stage original plays written by our experienced playwrights that allow us to further explore the topics we believe to be important to modern audiences.

Through our productions, we are proud to have fostered the debuts for a number of young professional actors—doing our part to nurture the next generation of Brisbane artists. Most importantly, all proceeds we make go towards our cast and crew to ensure we can continue bringing our works to the stage.
