Description

Running a business, especially with people depending on you, can be deeply meaningful… and heavy.

Many leaders are carrying more than they let on. The decisions. The responsibility. The pressure to hold it all together.

And often, there aren’t many spaces where you don’t have to be the strong one.

This is that space.

Introducing, The Exhale. A small, in-person gathering for business owners in the Pikes Peak region who are feeling overwhelmed or stretched and are craving a moment to pause, reconnect, and remember they’re not alone.

This is not a networking event.

Not a workshop.

And not another "program."

Instead, it’s a guided, grounded experience designed to help you:

  • step out of constant output and into presence

  • connect with other leaders in a real, human way

  • reflect on what you’re carrying (and what might need to shift)

  • leave with simple, practical tools to support your energy in daily life

We’ll move gently between quiet reflection, guided grounding, and meaningful conversation without pressure, performance, or pretense.

If you’ve been holding a lot… and don’t have many places to put it down… You’re invited to come and exhale.

Space is limited to 20. Please register to attend.

FAQs

  • Who is this event for?

This event is for any business owner, leader, or solo entrepreneur who loves what they do but are also weary to their bones and looking for a way to stop treading water and float for a while without sacrificing their business.

If you believe a company can be run in a way that elevates employees and serves the community and positively impacts society while STILL making a profit, but that sometimes feels out of reach, then let's talk about it.

If you don't need another networking event, but DO want/need a community of other business owners to support you in an unstructured, authentic, grounding way, then join us.

Your business could be just you or it could be 1000 employees. You could be just starting or ready to retire. You could be in any industry. The one common thread we will share is our humanity... and our desire to build a better world through better businesses that regenerate us instead of deplete us.

  • If this isn't a networking event, what can I expect?

This will be a chance for businesses to meet one other in a low pressure, high support environment.

Rebecca will kick off the gathering with some information about the sponsor, her background, and some grounding breath work.

We will then have time to share about ourselves, our businesses and current well-being or employee struggles.

Rebecca will close with some practical take home tips/resources for combatting burnout and we will gather feedback and ideas for future gatherings.

  • Will refreshments be served?

For this, our inaugural, free event, no refreshments will be served. But this is your chance to be at the launch of this "anti-networking, anti-hustle" concept and give input into the format (day, time, cost, amenities) of future events.

  • Is there free parking?

Yes, Absolute Body Balance is located in an office complex with free parking surrounding the building.

  • Who is leading this event?

This event is being curated and led by Rebecca Hawkins of Regenerative Workplaces, a coaching/consulting practice focused on healing individual and systemic burnout. She is also an advisor on mental well-being and workplace culture for the Small Business Development Center serving the Pikes Peak Region.

In times of rapid change and uncertainty, Rebecca believes a leader’s superpower isn’t pushing harder - it's slowing down, breathing, and stepping into alignment. Before starting her own business, Rebecca worked for 30 years in operational, strategic and leadership roles in start-ups, mid-sized, and Fortune 100 companies. She combines that experience with Gallup Strengths Coach and trauma-informed yoga certifications (CYT-500), and a master’s in organizational leadership, blending business acumen with mindfulness and human behavior

  • Who is sponsoring this event?

Absolute Body Balance is providing free meeting space for this gathering at their Woodman/East Location. The owner, Laura, will share briefly about their massage, yoga and other wellness services.

  • What attire is appropriate?

This is an extremely casual event. Please come dressed however you are most comfortable. There will be some time for mingling, but we will mostly be seated around tables.

  • Is the venue accessible?

Unfortunately, this first event is hosted in an upstairs meeting area that does not have an elevator. Please plan accordingly and provide feedback if that prevents you from attending so we can adjust for future events.
