Event description

Join us in celebrating the digitisation of Ballarat Libraries’ collection of original playbills, from Ballarat’s Theatre Royal (1858-1870s). 

Local goldfields theatre expert Ailsa DuBois will deliver a lecture on the lively world of theatre on the goldfields; the colourful characters, the drama on and off the stage, and tell the story of how the people of Ballarat found entertainment in the 1850s-1870s.

Please note the Friday lecture is a repeat of the Wednesday lecture - please only book a place at one.
