About your facilitator
Alan enjoys being on stage, directing, and teaching all things theatrical. He puts it all down to his childhood. When he was ten, he was chosen to be the narrator in his school Christmas nativity play, and he’s never been quite the same since. In more recent years he was artistic director of a UK theatre company before making the move to Perth – the one with sunshine and you-beaut beaches. He’s lectured at ECU in Theatre Studies and Drama Education since the 90s and has had his scripts produced by the BBC and ABC. He is now working on a reimagining of Everyman set in today’s WA, to be performed at ECU in December 2025.
