    Event description

    Return of The Grinding Stone

Named after Jeremiah McLane’s 2015 CD release “The Grinding Stone”, this trio consists of Sharon resident Jeremiah McLane on accordion, piano, and vocals, Vermont native Owen Marshall (who also played on the CD) on guitar, bouzouki, and harmonium, and Eric Boodman, originally from Montreal, on fiddle,
    foot percussion and vocals.
The trio plays traditional songs and tunes from North America and the British isles as well as original compositions. Eric’s intricate fiddling, singing, and foot percussion has been a joyful presence on the New England traditional music scene since 2015. Owen’s driving guitar and bouzouki playing is a mainstay for bands such as the Seamus Egan Project, Liz Carrol, Jenna Moynihan,  Allison DeGroot, and Dervish.
In 2016, Montpelier Times-Argus music critic Art Edelstein named Jeremiah McLane Vermont’s musician of the year, citing his contributions in teaching, recording and performing in his various configurations,
    including Kalos and Triton.

7:00 pm concert time.  Doors open at 6:30.
    $25 at the door
