The Power of Connection: Small Actions, Big Changes
Event description
Connection is at the heart of wellbeing.
It lifts our mood, reduces stress, and reminds us we’re part of something bigger.
Yet in busy lives, it’s easy to feel disconnected - from ourselves, from others, and from the world around us.
That’s why we’re hosting The Power of Connection - a free workshop for Queensland Mental Health Week, brought to you by the Vedanta Society and the Power of Us Suicide Prevention Network, in collaboration with Clinical Psychologist Shuktika Bose.
In this 3-hour interactive workshop, you’ll experience:
✨ Grounding practices with music and gentle meditation to start the day with calm and focus
✨ A restorative Healing Music session
✨ Energising Laughter Yoga to connect through joy and play
✨ Bite-sized talks on the psychology and neuroscience of connection
✨ Practical activities to strengthen connection with yourself, others, community, and nature
You’ll leave with:
A clear understanding of why connection matters for your mind and body
Everyday tools to reduce stress and build resilience
A renewed sense of joy and belonging from sharing the morning with others
