Event description

As a component of my placement year and final year of a Masters in Therapeutic Arts Practice, I will be offering one on one sessions at no cost on Mondays 11am and 2pm.

These sessions explore a multimodal approach to self inquiry, and can include movement, making, writing, and hands on, whatever might suit the inquirer or inquiry best.

The Melbourne Institute of Experiential and Creative Arts Therapy (MIECAT) approach to arts-based inquiry is informed by core values that relate to experiencing, relationality, multimodality, and emergence. Where inquiry takes place in a co-created, collaborative space that has respect and openness for the agency of ones own experiencing. With curiousity we explore many ways and different ways of knowing.

Sessions are 75 minutes to give time for:

1. Setting up the space together, a little about me, a few questions about what you need to feel safe and supported.

2. Inquiring with modes and materials.

3. Pause, a break, a shift in modality.

4. Reflecting, what are you coming to know.

4. Landing, in a place that feels ok for now.

Spaces are limited and I am very open to repeated sessions, but perhaps book in your first as an introduction.

Do share with anyone that might be interested. I have experience working with children through to adults.
