Thermal Camera Borrowing Service TEST
Event description
Find hidden heat leaks and make your home more comfortable!
Borrow a thermal imaging camera to uncover where your home is losing heat in winter or gaining it in summer. It’s an easy and practical way to identify draughts, insulation gaps, and other problem areas that can make your home uncomfortable and increase your energy bills.
By spotting these issues, you can take simple steps to improve comfort and reduce heating and cooling costs.
This service is free and only available to Inner West Council residents.
How it works:
Borrow a camera for six days
Pick up Thursdays (8:30am–5pm)
Return by 5pm the following Tuesday
Pick-up/drop-off location:
Reception desk, Petersham Service Centre, 2–14 Fisher St, Petersham
Alternate pickup/drop-off available by request at the Sustainability Hub, 7 Prospect Rd, Summer Hill (contact details below)
What’s included:
A quick-start guide to help you use the camera with confidence
Tips on where and how to scan like windows, doors, walls and ceilings to detect heat loss or gain.
Before you borrow:
Proof of address (e.g. driver's licence or energy bill) is required at pickup

Tips for use:
Transfer any images you want to keep via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or USB-C
Please delete your photos before returning the device
