Things I Cannot Say with Geraldine Mellet
Description
Things I Cannot Say is the story of Tracey Read, a 37 year old engineer paralysed after an accident and warehoused in a nursing home she nicknames the Last Resort. While her body may have changed dramatically, Tracey is still the same feisty, funny individual and applies her considerable brain power to solving an urgent mystery in the home, as well as rediscovering her place in the world.
Geraldine Mellet is a passionate reader and writer with a long history as a broadcast journalist and disability advocate.
During her advocacy and campaign days she was stunned to discover that around 8000 young Australians with disabilities, from 16 to 64, were being put into residential aged care to live permanently.
