Thinking of Home Care? What NDIS Providers Need to Know First
Description
This workshop is designed for NDIS providers who are considering diversifying into Aged Care and registering as an approved Home Care provider. We will explore the potential benefits of diversification, the demand for aged care services, and—importantly—the key differences between the NDIS and Aged Care regulatory frameworks.
The session provides a practical, realistic overview of what’s involved in the Aged Care registration process, including governance, financial, and operational expectations, and how these compare with the NDIS Practice Standards.
This workshop will cover:
The benefits and risks of diversifying into Aged Care
Current demand for Home Care services
What diversification means in practice for existing NDIS providers
A detailed overview of the Aged Care provider registration process
Key organisational requirements during the application stage
Category-specific registration requirements
Commitment, Capability and Capacity — what these mean in the Aged Care context
Governance and financial requirements for Aged Care providers
A comparison of the NDIS Practice Standards and Aged Care Quality Standards
Where the standards align — and where they differ
Who should attend:
NDIS providers, executives, directors, and quality/compliance leads considering Home Care as a potential service expansion.
