    Event description

Find yourself being whisked away to a mystical space hidden behind Mt Karioi's veil On the rugged west coast of Raglan, New Zealand. Where the hills are rolling and the sounds of the finest flavours of techno and house fill the air! A place where a carefully curated arrangement of handpicked artists will take you on a musical voyage like no other. With immersive, interactive decor and art. A safe place to gather and feel free to express ourselves wholeheartedly. Come and camp with us as we gather for the equinox, where day & night are of equal length. As the moon becomes full, the barriers which separate the mundane and the magical disintegrate. We sincerely invite you to join us for 30+ hours of music, connection and laughter at This Must Be It!

This must be it takes place on the west coast of Ruapuke. Approximately 25 mins drive from the town centre of Raglan is where you'll find us. The concept is simple! We have just over 30 hours of music on offer from some of the finest local and international DJs in New Zealand and abroad. Throughout the event, there is a ballot box to vote for a selection of films. Once the last artist has finished playing on Sunday eve, the winner of the ballot is drawn, and we finish our gathering with a movie on the big screen for everyone to enjoy together under the stars!

Music runs from 4pm on Saturday the 23rd of March, running non-stop til Sunday 8pm. We have a great campsite, with ocean views and plenty of space for you and your friends. We have fresh drinking water available on site, as well as composting toilets. Coffee cart and food options will be available throughout the event, so you never have to go hungry in between boogies!

We will have shady spots available for when it gets hot! as well as bell tents and a rustic, loungey barn for everyone to gather in and keep dry in case it rains. A Bonfire will burn near the dance floor throughout the event to keep yourself warm and toasty when needed. With cutting edge lighting provided by Iris creative lighting plus + crystal clear audio all weekend long thanks to the one and only Blackcurrantz sound system, we can assure you that this will be an unforgettable, memorable and magical weekend away at This must be it!
