    Event description

Babies our first birthday is here!🎂🎈

We are so proud of what we have all built together over the last year and want to celebrate the fact that a strong,
organised, vocal and proud queer community in Walyalup is here to stay.

Come have a dance with us on the 25th September from 7pm at the Navy Club on High st.  💃🏾🕺🏿🎶

We will have karaoke, DJs, performers and views of the Walyalup skyline.
It's going to be warm, accessible, community vibes like usual.🎤🍹

This is going to be a ticketed event so that we can make sure we pay the queer artists lighting up the spring evening for us.

There will be limited pre-sale tickets and the rest of the tickets will be door sales on the night. Tickets are priced on a sliding scale:

    - free for First Nations folk
    - $5 if you're unemployed
    - $10 for queers and BIPOC
    - $15 for allies not identifying as queer

This event prioritises the safety and comfort of LGBTQIA+, BIPOC and First Nations folks. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any discriminatory/antisocial behaviour

To celebrate our first birthday we are going to be fundraising on the night for our pals at Boorloo Justice again.
Consider it a) the right thing to do, and b) a birthday present to This n That.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This event will be held on stolen Whadjuk Noongar land.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land,
Walyalup, pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging,
and recognise that the violence of colonialism committed is ongoing and pervasive, and that all settlers must work to understand and mitigate it.
