This Way Orkestra returns with ABDICATION — their boldest single yet and the third release from their upcoming EP, due early 2026. The band will be performing two full sets on the night to mark the occasion.

“Abdication” — the act of stepping down from power — becomes a rallying cry in this high-energy Afrobeat track, blending sharp brass, complex rhythms, and the unmistakable political pulse of the genre. From Fela Kuti to modern movements, Afrobeat has always been music with a message — and ABDICATION carries that flame forward with fire, groove, and intent.

Known for their melting pot of reggae rhythms, ska horns, summer dance vibes, and big community energy, This Way Orkestra brings together a powerhouse lineup of Canberra musicians who turn every show into a street party.
