    OVERVIEW:

    Welcome to the official 'soft' launch of Carinyah Qi Gong.

    "Qi Gong" meaning to 'use your body for merit' is an internal exercise regime that uses connected, whole body movement and meditation to cultivate and store Qi. As evolving humans, we need to cultivate strength that not only focuses on the physical body, but incorporates the holistic being of which the mind and spirit are equally as important as the body.

    ABOUT:

    As a Remedial Massage Therapist and Energy Healer, I depend on my body for work. If my body is broken, I can't work. I want to stay strong, functional and alert so I am able to continue this career and be of service for as long as I can.

    I discovered Qi Gong and immediately fell in love with the practice. Having been a dedicated Yogi for 25 years, I had pondered the thought of teacher training in yoga but once Qi Gong came along, I knew it was THIS that I needed to study. However, the options for teachers and classes in my area was limited so I decided that instead of just attending classes, I would learn the art of Qi Gong in orer to share it with others.

    Under the tutelage of Nicholas Blewett from Qi Fit, I completed a 300+ hour Teacher Training program and am ready to bring this Ancient practice to the people of my area!

    DETAILS:

    Kristen will take you through a series of practices, each week focusing on a core component of the art of Qi Gong.

    Week 1: 7th April BODY & POSTURE

    Explore posture, structure, movement and awareness

    Week 2: 14th April RESPIRATION & BREATH

    Explore the function and action of respiration and breathing and expand your awareness of the importance of the breath 

    Week 3: 21st April MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION

    Explore the principles of the conscious, unconscious and universal mind

    Week 4: 28th April QI GONG IN PRACTICE

    Bring all of your learnings together in this dynamic workshop where we will combine Mind, Body and Breath to complete a beautiful practice.

    All sessions will end with a beautiful Sound Bath incorporating crystal sound bowls, gong, rainstick, medicine drum and much more!

    WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING

    Qi Gong can be practiced in shoes or bare feet, it's up to you. Please note that we will be in nature so ants and bugs are present.

    Bring a water bottle + Yoga mat for the Sound Bath plus whatever you need to be comfortable.

    Feel free to bring kids. This is an informal class and I would like everybody to have a go.
