This informal discussion and networking event presented by TOPSOIL Arts in partnership with Kaiela Arts and Riverlinks, offers an opportunity for local First Nations designers, artists and creatives to hear first-hand from one of Australia’s leading creative entrepreneurs, Denni Francisco.
Denni is a Wiradjuri woman, fashion entrepreneur and founder of the award-winning First Nations fashion and creative brand Ngali. will share her experience building Ngali, a nationally recognised brand that brings together contemporary design, culture and collaboration through partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists.
The conversation will explore creative practice, cultural expression, entrepreneurship and the opportunities and challenges of working within the fashion and creative industries. Participants will gain insights into Denni’s journey, the role of culture in shaping creative work, and explore some of the pathways available for First Nations creatives looking to develop their practice and build sustainable careers.
There will also be opportunities to connect with Denni and fellow First Nations creatives, fostering conversation, inspiration and new connections within the local creative community.

Denni Francisco is a Wiradjuri woman, fashion entrepreneur and founder of Ngali, a multi-award-winning First Nations fashion and creative brand. With more than 25 years of experience in the fashion industry, Denni has built a nationally recognised platform that celebrates First Nations creativity through contemporary design and collaborative partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. Guided by the Wiradjuri principle of Yindayamarra (respect, thoughtfulness and care), she is passionate about creating opportunities for First Nations creatives, sharing culture through design, and supporting the next generation of artists, designers and creative leaders. @ngali_australia
