Three Pillars of Transforming Care: Wallsend Training
Please join us on the 12th and 13th of July from 10.00am – 4.30pm for our core trauma training: 3 Pillars of Transforming Care.
“This course is designed for those who live or work with children and young people who have been exposed to various forms of severe adversity including chronic stress and trauma. This may includes you as foster carers who are not engaged in formal therapy but must, nevertheless, understand, support, nurture, mentor and sometimes provide behavioural controls for these children and young people whose behaviours can be baffling and challenging.”
“This course focuses on the priorities and skills that trauma-informed care providers need. It is not a model of therapy, nor is it a guide to implementing trauma informed care in organisations, but rather it is a guide for understanding and addressing the core needs and behaviours of children and young people who have been exposed to severe early adversity. It is designed to promote insights and skills that are seen as supportive of, rather than alternatives to formal therapy and treatment.”
