    Event description

    PILLAR THREE: HEALTHY LIVING

Good health is vital to a happy and empowered life, however for some of our community's most vulnerable citizens the barriers to achieving health goals can appear insurmountable.

In this seminar we discuss the issues faced by people leaving homelessness behind and what reintegrating back into community and everyday life really looks like. Without specialised supports and programs, simply gaining a stable place to sleep does not increase long term health outcomes or happiness.

Health is not just an individual issue but a community problem, with health care and related costs rising and a growing number of citizens becoming stuck in a cycle of disadvantage.

Join us for an insightful discussion with our panel of industry experts and special guests talking about their experiences transitioning back into home life. Hear about our new co-designed program assisting people to connect back to their community. Together we can empower the lives of those who need it the most.

MORE ABOUT OUR THREE PILLARS SEMINAR SERIES

This seminar series focuses on each of our core focus areas; education, financial stability and healthy living and how complex issues around these topics present in our society. These events aim to ignite a conversation, increase understanding of these issues and how they affect life in WA, and educate on what we can do together to improve quality of life for our whole community.

Currently, there are an estimated 1.5 million Australians living in a state of chronic or persistent disadvantage and research shows that this number is likely to keep increasing without comprehensive and targeted early intervention programs. We know that change begins when we LIVE UNITED, and that building a better tomorrow starts today.

Join us to hear more about how we can tackle these problems together.
